Christina joined Carolina C.O.R.E. Practitioners (CCP) when she was 6 months postpartum, feeling overwhelmed and stuck. With two kids and a busy lifestyle, she was living very sedentarily and grabbing whatever food she could find—often forgetting to eat entirely because she was so focused on taking care of everyone else. She felt pressured by unrealistic expectations to “bounce back” after her second baby, which left her frustrated and discouraged.Christina was also exclusively breastfeeding, so she was concerned about how diet and exercise might impact her milk supply. On top of that, she had never enjoyed “healthy” food because she thought it always tasted bad. Christina had never worked with a coach or trainer before because she feared being judged, especially on bad days when things didn’t go perfectly. She didn’t want to let anyone down, which left her feeling even more stuck.
When Christina joined the Restrictive to Resilience Roadmap, we made sure not to overwhelm her with strict calorie counting or an intense workout regimen. We knew that going from a sedentary lifestyle to intentional movement doesn’t happen overnight, so we started small. Christina’s initial plan included a range of daily steps to aim for and short bodyweight workouts she could easily do at home.We also worked on increasing her water intake to help her feel fuller and flush out processed foods. To address her concerns about healthy eating, we provided a variety of meal ideas that not only fit her goals but also tasted great—proving that healthy food doesn’t have to be boring or tasteless.Beyond fitness and nutrition, we worked deeply on Christina’s mindset and helped her set boundaries with her demanding schedule. This allowed her to carve out time for herself and her family, which was essential for long-term success.
In just under 6 months, Christina has lost almost 20 lbs and feels super happy and confident, not only in how her body looks but, more importantly, in how her body feels. Alli came to Carolina C.O.R.E. Practitioners (CCP) as a new mom who felt like she had completely lost herself after pregnancy. Before getting pregnant, she had been very active in CrossFit, but that changed during her rough pregnancy, where she struggled to stay active and could barely manage a walk around the block.She also dealt with gestational diabetes during pregnancy, and after giving birth, she found it difficult to return to a healthy routine. Between the demands of motherhood, inconsistent workouts, and nutrition being all over the place, Alli felt burnt out, frustrated, and far from the active person she once was.
Our first priority with Alli was to rebuild her sense of self. We knew that regaining confidence and feeling capable again would be key to helping her show up for herself. We focused heavily on mindset work, helping her rebuild her belief in her abilities and find joy in taking care of herself.We also sat down with her to create a daily task schedule, helping her identify pockets of time where she could fit in short, effective workouts. We designed 3x per week home workouts that took less than 45 minutes, so she wouldn’t feel overwhelmed or burdened by the time commitment of getting to and from the gym.On the nutrition side, we worked on improving her relationship with food by focusing on prioritizing protein and helping her find healthier alternatives for her sweet cravings. This allowed Alli to enjoy her favorite foods while still making progress.
In just 6 months, Alli has made remarkable progress, and her pictures speak for themselves! She finally feels like herself again, not only because she’s lost weight and gained strength, but because she’s regained her confidence. She’s loving her workouts and consistently shows up ready to crush them and set new personal records.Beyond her physical progress, she’s most proud of the confidence, perseverance, and discipline she’s built. Even when life throws obstacles her way, like illness or unexpected setbacks, Alli now knows how to get back into her routine and take care of herself without guilt. She’s even created her own personal goals, written them down, and hung them up in her house as a daily reminder of why she’s doing this.

When April joined Carolina C.O.R.E. Practitioners (CCP) in early 2024, she was struggling with major gut health issues and wanted to lose 10-15 lbs. She constantly felt bloated after meals, which made her feel uncomfortable and self-conscious in her own body. Her clothes didn’t fit the way she wanted, which affected her confidence.April also didn’t enjoy cooking and wasn’t sure what foods were best for her. Though she was capable of working out, she didn’t know how to create a routine that would help her reach her goals effectively.
We started by getting really specific on April’s short-term and long-term goals. Together, we identified key areas to focus on and introduced small daily habits, like increasing her water intake, eating more protein, and exercising at least 3 times a week. To address her gut health, we closely monitored how different foods affected her body. We prioritized foods that made her feel good and worked to reduce those that caused bloating. Eventually, we started April on a reverse dieting process, gradually increasing her calories to ensure her body was properly fueled while improving her digestion and overall energy levels.
Fast forward over a year, and April’s transformation has been nothing short of incredible. She’s eating over 2100 calories a day, more than she’s ever eaten in her life, and feels strong, confident, and energized. She’s down 12 lbs total, and, more importantly, she loves her body and the way her clothes fit.April’s story shows that sustainable progress is about more than just the scale—it’s about building strength, confidence, and a healthy relationship with food. We couldn’t be more proud of everything she’s accomplished!
